CASE

atNorth – From stakeholder pressure
to structured compliance

atNorth – a fast-growing Nordic data center company across the Nordics.  This is what we did:

Challenge

Rapid growth combined with increasing pressure from investors and regulators to align with complex sustainability frameworks, including GHG accounting, the EU Taxonomy, OECD due diligence, and human rights requirements.

What we did

  • Developed a roadmap for compliance with key European regulatory frameworks for data centers.

  • Supported the EU Taxonomy alignment, including EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres, DNSH criteria, and minimum safeguards.

  • Strengthened due diligence processes with a focus on the supply chain.

  • Developed a Code of Conduct and Supplier Code of Conduct

Results

  • Clear roadmap for regulatory alignment

  • EU Taxonomy alignment structure in place

  • Strengthened supply chain due diligence and governance

  • Lifecycle assessments (LCAs) completed for all commissioned data centers (2025) in collaboration with Sirvo

  • Captured synergies between ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and due diligence
